Maurice Arbelaez

Maurice Arbelaez joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in October of 2020. Based out of Winter Garden, Florida, he has earned several industry certifications, including Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP), and Certified Professional Conference Specialist (CPCS). He has also received several awards and recognitions from top organizations like HSMAI, CFHLA, Skal International, and SITE, and holds certifications from Hilton, Doubletree, and Park Suites/SARA Hotels & Resorts. He studied Business at Sacred Heart College and Tulane with a focus in Marketing.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Maurice has enjoyed a well-rounded career in different hospitality and travel industry disciplines. He has lived abroad, gaining multilingual skills that have helped him develop business relationships across the globe. His experience working for top hotel groups in sales and marketing has helped him further develop his hospitality skills. In addition to working for several major hotel brands, he also had the opportunity to open two independent luxury condo resort operations as a Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. He has held board and advisory committee positions with Visit Orlando, Skal International Orlando, and FLVRMA, and he is presently an active member with the Central Florida Hospitality & Lodging Association (CFHLA) and Hotel Sales Marketing Assoc International (HSMAI).
