Melissa Atkins

Melissa Atkins joined HelmsBriscoe as a Senior Director, Global Accounts in March of 1999. Melissa and her team specialize in lodging procurement for catastrophe crews, disaster relief, and other types of emergency response needs. Her experience includes securing hotels for companies during natural disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, and ice storms, as well as sequestering employees during the pandemic and many other catastrophic situations. Melissa joined HelmsBriscoe, the global leader in hotel procurement, to provide her clients with access to an immediate response and the best resources, tools, and assistance during times of crisis.

Prior to joining HelmsBriscoe, Melissa spent over 10 years working in hotel sales for Crowne Plaza and Westin Hotels. She received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2002 and has been active in Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 1990. Melissa served as the Ohio MPI President from 1998 to 1999 and has been on the Board of Directors numerous times. Melissa has achieved the HelmsBriscoe top producer award of Rainmaker multiple times, and has also been recognized with Chairman’s Club, Master’s Club and President’s Club awards.
