Roel Wester joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2023, and currently lives in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. Roel obtained a bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management from Stenden University and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years. Prior to graduating, Roel had the opportunity to complete his final placement at the Hilton London Metropole. He remained in London for seven years and has gained most of his professional experience working at the global sales offices for Hilton Worldwide, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, and SBE Lifestyle hospitality. In these roles, he placed events across the globe.
Predominantly working with the UK M.I.C.E. market, Roel has gained a wealth of experience in contracting large-scale international events, conferences, and exhibitions. He enjoys building strong relationships with clients and industry partners and praises himself for his networking skills, creativity, and attention to detail. Coupled with his industry knowledge and a strong focus on his clients' needs, Roel will find the most suitable venue and negotiate the best possible rates for your event.
