Vi began her career with Trailways, Inc in 1974. Positions included District Manager- Branch Manager and Regional VP of Marketing for the Northeast Region located in New York City. In 1986 she opened the Canadian Consulate in Pgh. employed by External Affairs of the Canadian Federal Government as a Commercial Officer for Travel Trade. In June of 1996 Vi accepted a position at HelmsBriscoe.
Vi recently served on the PCMA International Awards Committee. Past Industry Positions: President of the PCMA Pgh Chapter, President of the MPI Pgh Chapter, Chair for the MPI Professional Conduct Committee, Chair of the Meetings & Hospitality Partnership Pgh, MPI Executive Board of the COCP, MPI International Diversity Task Force. Achievements: CMP Designation (Certified Meeting Professional) 1992, CMM Designation (Certified Meeting Manager) 2000. Awards: Outstanding Achievement Award on the MPI Diversity Task Force 1993, MPI Chapter Manager of the Year Award 1994, PSAE Presidential Citation 1996, Meetings & Hospitality Premier Award 1999, MPI Chapter Planner of the Year Award 2000.
